On the following FHA guideline:
If the applicant has not been employed with the same employer for the previous two years and/or not all conditions immediately above can be met, then the Mortgagee must obtain one or a combination of the following for the most recent two years to verify the applicant’s employment history:
W-2(s)
VOE(s)
electronic verification acceptable to FHA
evidence supporting enrollment in school or the military during the most recent two full years
I take the last point to indicate that if a person has been in college, for instance, and now graduated - with a new job in their field, that their college enrollment could count towards a 2 year work history? How long out of college would they have to be at their job?

You can use school transcripts as a work history. They are pretty easy for the client to request. Job history at most would be 6 months, but could be as little as 1 pay stub. Sorry I don't know 100% on the time.
